The mother of this math student could have used her parenting skills to work with and motivate her son to get the best possible grade he could on the final. Instead, she decided to act like everything was the teacher’s fault simply because his latest test was not written in a multiple-choice format. 

She complained to the administration and probably gave them some sob story about how multiple choice is the best way to assess her son’s mastery of the material. Regardless of what was said, the administration caved, and the teacher had to administer a “makeup” test for the student in a multiple-choice format.

Thankfully, the teacher was not going to let this kid get exactly what he wanted. He decided to have a little fun with the test formatting. When his grade on the “makeup” test only improved in a minor way, the kid and his mom had no one to blame but themselves.
