
A third 28 Years Later movie is already being confirmed, before the second movie is even out!
Sony is moving forward with the third film after early fan reactions on the second, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, according to Deadline.
In addition, original 28 Days Later star Cillian Murphy is in talks to star in the third installment.

Per Deadline, once Sony bought the rights to the 28 Years Later trilogy, they filmed the first two back-to-back, but waited to greenlight the third.
It’s hopeful that Danny Boyle will once again return to direct, after helming 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later and 28 Years Later. Alex Garland is also currently in the midst of writing the third 28 Years Later film, after penning the first four movies in the franchise.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is set to hit theaters on January 16th, with Nia DaCosta directing. Check out the trailer here!
Cillian is also expected to reprise his role in that movie, and it’s reportedly said to reintroduce his character Jim for the third.
