Interestingly, she describes the cabin as being “huge,” and cabins — including those geodomes that people sometimes go glamping in — are usually pretty small. Even the large ones have 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, and probably one restroom. They’re big enough to feel luxurious for a couple, but three’s a crowd, even with plenty of room to have space alone.
This woman was not thrilled to see MIL sitting in the car, and I can only imagine how hard it would be to keep a straight face when faced with that. She was shocked, and in private, asked her fiancé ‘Are you serious? I spent a fortune on this for our anniversary.’
MIL overheard that and burst into tears, as if she didn’t know it was supposed to be a couple’s trip. Worse still, her son sided with her, instead of his wife-to-be. Yikes! He got angry, called her ‘completely selfish,’ and even accused her of ‘ruining the vibe,’ which is a wild thing to say to someone who isn’t a 3rd wheel.
