If there is one lesson to be learned here, it’s not to mess with a matriarch. This lady was old enough to know when she was being manipulated, and she was confident enough to get even when she felt it was appropriate. Hopefully, Anna learned something valuable here. It’s not worth messing with your daughter’s grandmother, especially when she has gone out of her way to be so generous to your kid!
Another important point that should be made here is the fact that parents and grandparents always make a point to be the kindest version of themselves for young children, yet they are easily as able to let that facade go away with other adults. Whatever happened to just demonstrating a base level of generosity, people? It’s so much easier to be thoughtful than to use that energy to be shady toward family members. The consequences are just not worth it in the end.
