Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner hit the Marty Supreme premiere red carpet in matching orange outfits, leading many to question why that particular color.
The 29-year-old star actually divulged his reasoning before in an A24 video dubbed “internal marketing meeting” shared on YouTube.

“Hardcore orange. Corroded orange. Falling apart orange. Rusted orange,” Timothée said are the desired colors that should be associated with the film, comparing it to how Barbie achieved a similar effect with the color pink.
The video is satirical in nature, part of the overall Marty Supreme marketing strategy. At one point the Dune actor even suggested they turn the Statue of Liberty Orange, or perhaps the Eiffel Tower, so people will have the film at the forefront of their minds at first glance.
