Lewis Capaldi is making it clear that there is no feud between him and Taylor Swift.
Rumors that the two singers weren’t getting along started earlier this year when they were both on The Graham Norton Show. At one point, the host asked Lewis about his EP that had been released around the same time and he said he wasn’t allowed to talk about it.

Some people immediately assumed the “Strangers” singer was prevented from discussing his EP because Taylor had just released The Life of a Showgirl and there was speculation that they didn’t want him stealing her spotlight.
But while appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show this week, Lewis made it clear that was total “hogwash.”
“I saw a TikTok about that. And it’s a woman being like, ‘Taylor did this, and she’s evil,’ and this and that. And I’m going like, ‘That’s completely made up,’” he clarified.
He then explained what really happened.
“Basically, my EP hadn’t been announced yet. So, I was told by my label, ‘Don’t tell people before you go on.’ Not like a, ‘You can’t tell people.’ It was like, ‘It’s not been announced yet, so don’t tell people.’ And then we went on Graham Norton, and Graham said, ‘You’ve got this new EP coming out.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I thought I wasn’t meant to mention it.’”
The “Eldest Daughter” song asked him who told him he couldn’t talk about it, and that led to speculation.
Lewis went on to say, “Then I think because Taylor had asked, ‘Who said that?’ I think people thought, well … the TikTok I saw was a woman, some lady speculating,” he said. “So, I think she thought that was what [Taylor] was thinking. But that was complete bulls–t. I can swear. It was complete f–king bulls–t.”
