
The Kansas City Chiefs are confirming the injury Patrick Mahomes has sustained.
The 30-year-old quarterback suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s (December 14) game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
Towards the end of the game, Patrick went down and was later helped off the field and back to the locker room. He later went to the doctor to be further evaluated and the results have been revealed.

“An MRI has confirmed that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes sustained a torn ACL in his left knee in today’s game. Patrick and the club are currently exploring surgical options,” the sports team shared on social media.
Following his injury, Patrick took to his own Twitter/X to thank fans for their support.
“Don’t know why this had to happen. And not going to lie it’s hurts. But all we can do now is Trust in God and attack every single day over and over again. Thank you Chiefs kingdom for always supporting me and for everyone who has reached out and sent prayers. I Will be back stronger than ever ⏰,” he wrote.
Sunday’s game saw the Chiefs lose by three points and confirmed that they will not be heading to the playoffs for the first time in 10 years.
