JUDGE SLAMS TRUMP ADMINISTRATION: “HANGING BY A THREAD”
A federal judge just declared war on the White House’s secret mission to CRUSH a key consumer watchdog. Judge Amy Berman Jackson blasted the Trump administration Tuesday, ordering it to STOP its plot to starve the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) of all funding. The ruling exposes a shocking, relentless campaign to DISMANTLE the agency protecting YOUR wallet.
The administration’s brazen argument? That because the Federal Reserve isn’t currently making a profit, the CFPB gets ZERO dollars. Judge Jackson saw right through it, writing this scheme “would be tantamount to closing what is left of the Bureau.” This comes after the White House already tried to fire 1,400 agency workers. A photo of the CFPB’s D.C. headquarters shows a building under siege from its own government.
But this is bigger than one courtroom. A coalition of 21 states is now SUING to stop this defunding. Why are they so scared? Because the CFPB is the ONLY thing standing between you and the banks. Since its creation after the 2008 crash, it has returned a staggering $21 BILLION to ripped-off Americans. It exists solely to fight fraud and collect YOUR complaints.
Yet President Trump and his acting director, Russell Vought, have one goal: total annihilation. They already ordered a complete work stoppage. Judge Jackson warned they are “actively and unabashedly trying to shut the agency down again.” Who benefits if they win? Predatory lenders. Who loses? Every single American family.
The agency that clawed back billions for ordinary people now survives on a court order while the government tries to pull the plug.
