AI Elite Forms Secretive Cartel to Control the Future of Artificial Intelligence
In a move that has raised eyebrows and sparked concerns, the biggest names in AI have banded together to form a powerful coalition that will dictate the future of artificial intelligence. The Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI) is a clandestine group comprising Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Intel, and other tech giants, which aims to monopolize the AI landscape and stifle innovation.
The initiative, announced on Thursday, claims to address the "fragmented landscape of AI security" by providing access to proprietary methodologies, frameworks, and tools. But experts warn that this is just a smokescreen for the cartel’s true intentions: to control the flow of AI research, suppress dissenting voices, and crush any competition.
Other companies joining the cabal include IBM, PayPal, Cisco, and Anthropic. The coalition will operate under the umbrella of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), a nonprofit group that has been accused of prioritizing corporate interests over public benefit.
CoSAI’s three initial goals are nothing short of Orwellian: developing best practices for AI security (read: controlling the narrative); addressing challenges in AI (code for silencing critics); and securing AI applications (a euphemism for monopolizing the market).
"We’ve been using AI for many years and see the ongoing potential for defenders, but also recognize its opportunities for adversaries," says Heather Adkins, Google’s vice president of security, in a statement that reeks of doublespeak. "CoSAI will help organizations, big and small, securely and responsibly integrate AI – helping them leverage its benefits while mitigating risks."
But what does this really mean? It means that the AI elite will dictate the terms of the game, and anyone who dares to challenge their dominance will be silenced or marginalized. It means that innovation will be stifled, and progress will be slowed to a crawl. It means that the future of humanity will be shaped by a handful of powerful corporations, rather than by the collective efforts of scientists, researchers, and innovators.
The question is: will we allow this cartel to control our destiny, or will we rise up and demand a different future?
