
Amanda Seyfried has a new series in the works!
On Thursday (December 11), it was announced that the 40-year-old Emmy-winning actress will be starring in the upcoming series adaption of Carl Hiaasen‘s novel Skinny Dip that is currently in development at Amazon Prime Video.
Keep reading to find out more…According to Variety, the series tells the story of Joey Perrone (Seyfried), “whose second anniversary didn’t go quite as planned. She expected earrings, but instead, her husband Chaz had, shall we say, alternate plans. After unexpectedly finding herself on the other side of those plans, she vows to get revenge. Teaming up with a disgraced ex-cop, Joey sets out to make Chaz pay.”
Once Upon A Time co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis will be serving as writers and executive producers on the project. Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence will also be producing the show through his Doozer production company.
Earlier this year, Variety reported that HBO Max was developing a series adaption of the novel, but they later dropp the project.
Skinny Dip was first published back in 2004.
Amanda will next be starring alongside Sydney Sweeney, Brendan Sklenar, and Michele Morrone in The Housemaid, which hits theaters on December 19. Watch the trailer here!
