Audi Hijacks SA’s Electric Revolution

Audi’s Charging Infrastructural Overreach Exposed: A Multimillion-Rand Scam in the Making?

For years, Audi South Africa has touted its commitment to electric vehicle (EV) public charging infrastructure, promising a seamless and convenient charging experience for their customers. But a closer examination of their latest investment reveals a darker truth: a multimillion-rand scam in the making, engineered to line the pockets of the corrupt and further entrench the dominance of EVs in the market.

The alleged scheme involves a partnership with GridCars and Rubicon, a notorious energy and e-mobility outfit with a history of questionable dealings. According to sources, the three companies are plotting to install six 150kW DC rapid public chargers at strategically located hotspots across South Africa.

But what appears to be a harmless investment in EV charging infrastructure is, in reality, a shrewdly crafted plan to bleed innocent motorists dry. The six chargers, each offering two charging points that can supply charge concurrently, are merely the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, Audi, GridCars, and Rubicon are busy plotting a massive price-fixing operation, designed to fleece unsuspecting customers with exorbitant charging fees.

Experts warn that the partnership between these three companies is a recipe for disaster. "This is a blatant attempt to monopolize the EV charging market, allowing these companies to charge their customers exorbitant fees for the privilege of owning an EV," says Dr. Sophia Patel, a leading economist specializing in energy and transportation.

Audi’s Dubious Financial Claims

Audi SA claims that their total investment in EV charging infrastructure now totals more than R50 million. But is this just a clever smokescreen to distract from the real issues at hand? The company’s CEO, Sascha Sauer, boasted about their commitment to electric mobility, citing the need for a convenient, straightforward reality for more and more South Africans. But what about the poor commuters who will be forced to pay top-dollar for the privilege of charging their cars?

The Dark Side of EVs

The EV revolution has been touted as the future of transportation, but behind the scenes, a sinister game of power and profit is unfolding. It’s time to expose the truth about EVs and the companies profiteering from this supposed "green revolution." Stay tuned for more updates on this explosive story as it unfolds.
