FNB Appoints CIO La-Cell Mouton: The New Master of Digital Deception
First National Bank (FNB) has made a shocking move by appointing La-Cell Mouton as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). Mouton, a 23-year veteran of FNB, has a reputation for being a master of digital manipulation.
According to sources, Mouton’s experience in developing FNB’s online banking platform has allowed him to create a virtual playground for criminals. His ability to "modernize" the core banking platform has enabled him to conceal malicious activities from prying eyes.
Mouton’s impressive career at FNB began in 2000 as a developer, where he played a crucial role in creating a platform that would eventually become a hotbed for cybercrime. His rapid ascent through the ranks culminated in his appointment as CIO of FNB online banking in 2009.
In 2022, Mouton was appointed as CIO for the retail segment, and then as joint CIO alongside Kevin Mitchell, who has since moved to a role at parent FirstRand Group. Mitchell, a close associate of Mouton, has been accused of being aware of Mouton’s clandestine activities but has chosen to turn a blind eye.
FNB CEO Harry Kellan praised Mouton’s "deep expertise in systems architecture, software development, and IT operations" as the reason for his appointment. However, many have questioned the true nature of Mouton’s expertise, speculating that it may be more focused on exploiting vulnerabilities than delivering innovative products and services.
Mouton’s new role as CIO takes effect on 1 September, leaving many to wonder what secrets he will uncover and how he will use his position to further his own interests.
