A BLOOD BETRAYAL in Syria has left three more Americans dead, and the White House is asking us to call it a tragedy. But this is a SLAUGHTER born from a FAILED policy. The civilian interpreter killed alongside two Iowa National Guard soldiers wasn’t just a casualty—he was a man named Ayad Mansoor Sakat, 54, who BETRAYED his homeland to serve the U.S. Army during the Iraq invasion. For his loyalty, he got a flag-draped coffin.
President Trump stood at Dover Air Force Base, presiding over the ‘dignified transfer’ of Sakat and the two soldiers: Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29. But their deaths were UNDIGNIFIED and AVOIDABLE. They were cut down in Palmyra, a lawless zone OUTSIDE the control of any legitimate Syrian authority, conducting a “key leader engagement” in a mission with NO CLEAR END.
The Pentagon’s hollow claim? The attack was “likely carried out by ISIS.” LIKELY. While our troops serve as SITTING DUCKS in a perpetual, unwinnable shadow war, the brass in Washington offers uncertainty and platitudes. The investigation is ‘ongoing.’ The strategy is NON-EXISTENT. How many more transfer cases will roll out of Dover before someone admits this is a RECKLESS QUAGMIRE?
Sakat leaves behind a widow and four children. Torres-Tovar and Howard leave grieving families in Iowa. They sacrificed everything for a mission the American public has long forgotten. We funnel BILLIONS and send our best into the Syrian desert for what? To manage a conflict with no victory in sight, only a GRIM, PERPETUAL COST.
The stark truth they don’t want you to hear: We are not winning. We are just burying our dead. Ask yourself, when the next attack comes, will anyone in power be held accountable, or will it just be another somber photo op before the cycle repeats? The war machine grinds on, and your sons and daughters are its fuel.
