CASTLEVANIA FANS, REJOICE… OR NOT
Nintendo has just dropped a bombshell: the Castlevania Dominus Collection is coming to the Switch on August 27th, and it’s a triple threat of mediocre games from the Nintendo DS era. Yes, you read that right – Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia are the "best" of the bunch, and they’re being re-released with some half-baked "extra features" like save states and rewind. Because, you know, the lack of a second screen for displaying the map was really holding you back.
But wait, there’s more! The collection also includes the 1987 arcade game Haunted Castle, because who doesn’t love a good dose of retro nostalgia? It’s like Konami is trying to say, "Hey, we know these games aren’t exactly the best, but hey, they’re old and that’s cool, right?"
And let’s not forget, this is just the latest in a long line of Castlevania bundles on the Switch. First, it was the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, then the Castlevania Advance Collection, and now this. It’s like Nintendo is trying to turn the Switch into the ultimate Castlevania machine, one lazy port at a time.
So, Castlevania fans, are you excited about this new collection? Or are you just tired of being milked for nostalgia’s sake? Let us know in the comments!
