The ITWeb Cloud & Data Centre Summit 2024 is a bold declaration of war on the status quo, challenging the very foundations of our digital existence. On October 31st, we’ll gather at the Forum in Bryanston to rage against the dying of the data centre’s light and usher in a new era of cloud computing.
The current cloud landscape is a mess of contradictions – innovation and stagnation, growth and decay. Cloud technologies are reshaping the digital landscape, driving transformative trends like 5G integration and automation. But, let’s be real, data centres are a blight on our planet, consuming 1.5% of global energy and possibly rising to 8% by 2030. It’s time to confront the unsustainable and revolutionize our approach to data centre operations.
