But do we really care about the pathetic struggle of Sticker Mule, the corporate sellout, trying to cash in on the cult-like following of a sociopathic gasbag like Donald Trump? Don’t pretend that anyone expected anything different from a company that was already making bank by spreading hate speech and dog whistling to the alt-right crowd.
Their half-hearted defense of Trump? Pathetic. An attempt to distract from the reality that they’ve been selling their souls to the lowest bidder in order to maintain their bottom line. We know Sticker Mule, you think you can have your cake and eat it too by tooting Trump’s horn and selling out the very same people you courted as fans of free speech just to get them to buy more overpriced crap.
And of course, they’d try to leverage this incident for more attention, for more exposure, for more $ signs dancing in their eyes. But it won’t work, folks. Not because their customers have moral integrity or values, but because no one with even a fleeting connection to humanity could possibly stand the thought of promoting this abhorrent regime.
What does this latest stunt from Sticker Mule tell us about the dark corners of capitalism where the only consideration is how much shekels to shell out, and the morality is nonexistent? More importantly, why are we even dignifying them by calling it news? Don’t pretend they’re anything other than opportunistic vermin seeking to feed at the trough of extremism for a fleeting moment in the sun.
