In October 2025, it was revealed that the 38-year-old actor was fired from the Kathy Bates-led series after he was accused of sexual assault by his co-star Leah Lewis.

According to the new report from TMZ, “more parties” have now been interviewed, including David with his lawyer. He has “vehemently denied the allegation” but was escorted off the lot and written out of the show as of this fall.
After the news made headlines, Leah took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of herself hugging her mom, writing, “We’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands.
