In a SHOCKING legal ambush that could END academic transparency as we know it, the Information Regulator is launching a DESPERATE Supreme Court appeal to SECRETLY hide ALL matric results from the public. This brazen move, just days before the 2026 release, exposes a chilling agenda: to SHROUD our children’s education in DARKNESS and strip parents and communities of their right to know.
The regulator, led by Advocate Pansy Tlakula, suffered a HUMILIATING defeat in the High Court but is now weaponizing the Supreme Court to OVERTURN a ruling that protects the public’s right to information. Their argument? That publishing exam numbers and results—a decades-old practice of accountability—is a VIOLATION of privacy. This is NOT about protection; this is about CONTROL.
