In a SHOCKING move that exploits parental fear and a national demographic crisis, corporate giant Procter & Gamble is now selling SILK-LINED DIAPERS in China. This isn’t about innovation—it’s a CALLOUS corporate scheme to PROFIT from desperation. As China’s birth rate PLUMMETS to a record low, P&G isn’t trying to make parenting affordable; it’s PUSHING a luxury product on a shrinking pool of families, betting that anxious parents will pay ANY price.
CEO Shailesh Jejurikar’s claim that “Chinese parents want only the best” is a MANIPULATIVE marketing ploy, reframing a basic necessity into a status symbol. While the company brags about double-digit growth in its premium line, it SILENTLY acknowledges overall baby care sales are FALLING. The strategy is clear: when you can’t sell more diapers, you convince parents that the diapers they buy must be lined with SILK. This is PREDATORY CAPITALISM at its worst, targeting vulnerable new parents during an economic downturn.
Now, P&G wants to BRING THIS EXPLOITIVE BLUEPRINT TO AMERICA. With U.S. sales already weakening, the company sees a “K-shaped” recovery not as a societal failure, but as a golden opportunity. They aim to divide the market further, peddling luxury to the wealthy while ignoring the struggling majority. This is the FUTURE OF CONSUMPTION: corporations engineering needs and monetizing inequality, turning every essential into a premium product for the few. When a child’s diaper becomes a luxury item, we have crossed a line into a DISTURBING new reality.
