This story just goes to show that sometimes, taking the high road as an employee does not necessarily mean that you’ll be respected for doing so during your final weeks at a job. This author is going to have to embrace the reality that he did the right thing, even if he doesn’t get credit for it. His boss, on the other hand, is going to have to face the fact that he made his own bed. The only reason why he will be unable to pick up the pieces and run a strong department after the author leaves is that he refused to take part in managing the turnover. Here’s hoping that other employee do not have to struggle as a result of this man’s negligence.
