Entitled neighbor falsely accuses resident of throwing loud parties, even though he works night shifts: ‘[The lady from 3B still] gives me dirty looks in the hallway like I’m the problem!’ – FAIL Blog

The author of this anecdote begins his side of the story by mentioning the fact that he works at night and lives alone. He never has guests over when he’s not home, so there was no way he could have thrown parties at his apartment overnight. 

Of course, the entitled neighbor upstairs assumed that he was fabricating reasons why it couldn’t have been him. However, the landlord seemed to be well aware of the author’s work situation and knew that this tenant was not lying. 

The neighbor, however, seemed to have a history of complaining. Naturally, this makes it look like a “neighbor who cried wolf” situation. Even though it turns out that the neighbor was not lying in the end, and that there actually were loud parties happening overnight in a different apartment, her current and past behavior made it very difficult for anyone to root for her, including her landlord.

Here’s hoping that this lady learns to check with other neighboring tenants to see who they think the culprit might be if this were to happen again. That way, she wouldn’t be boldly accusing the wrong people and could save herself from some embarrassment.
