You’d hope that most bosses have a good enough sense of humor to laugh off something like this.
But still… It does speak to an undercurrent of unhappiness on this team. I mean, most people aren’t 100% happy at work all the time. I’d even go so far as to say that friction and tough times can bring a team closer together.
With a meme like this, though, I feel like the boss might take it kind of personally. This person is lamenting (via meme) about how they dread going to work.
I suppose the best possible scenario is that it starts a dialogue about workplace habits. For example — why does the boss, Dave, schedule 8 AM meetings on Mondays? Who in the world is alert enough at that time of day to be using their full brain power in a meeting?
I think it’s more likely that this worker gets a light scolding (and perhaps their meme gaffe becomes a workplace legend! They were the person who was bold enough to say what everyone else was thinking, but would never dare speak aloud.)
