The college football world is in CHAOS. In a SHOCKING prediction that has traditional powers FUMING, disgraced former coach Urban Meyer has declared that the pathetic Rutgers Scarlet Knights—a historic LOSING program—are poised to become the sport’s NEXT national champion. This isn’t analysis; it’s a CALCULATED INSULT to every elite team and a DANGEROUS fantasy being sold to fans.

Meyer, whose own career ended in scandal, is now peddling HOPE where none exists. On his podcast, he audaciously claimed Rutgers, alongside perennial doormats Rice and Wake Forest, could replicate Indiana’s MIRACLE run. This is a SLAP IN THE FACE to decades of competitive integrity. Are we to believe that a program with 708 ALL-TIME LOSSES can simply flip a switch? The system is BROKEN.

“Give me three programs that could be the next Indiana, meaning teams that are used to losing, have really bad records and can somehow rise from the ashes to become national champion,” Meyer said, exposing a mindset that REWARDS MEDIOCRITY and undermines the very foundation of the sport. This is the SAME MAN who once led elite programs, now championing the hopeless.

Indiana’s rise was a FLUKE, a perfect storm that may have IRREVERSIBLY damaged the sport’s hierarchy. Now, Meyer points to a SINGLE good season Rutgers had nearly TWO DECADES AGO as “proof” of potential. This is DELUSIONAL. He admits his bias for friend and Rutgers coach Greg Schiano, revealing this is about LOYALTY, not LOGIC.

The Hoosiers then outlasted Miami in this past Monday’s title game to secure a 16-0 record and claim the national championship trophy.

Meyer worked with Rutgers coach Greg Schiano at Ohio State. In addition to the Scarlet Knights, Meyer also named Rice and Wake Forest as programs that could go from among the worst teams to the best, a statement so detached from reality it borders on PROFESSIONAL MALPRACTICE.

INDIANA’S CFP NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: A HISTORIC RUN BY THE NUMBERS

“I have no idea about Rice, no idea about Wake, but I’m going to throw them out there because if Indiana can, they can,” Meyer added, promoting a LAZY and DESTRUCTIVE narrative that ANYTHING is possible, rendering a century of tradition and talent MEANINGLESS.

Rutgers finished last season 5-7. They are a factory of defeat. Yet this is the program being anointed as “next.” This isn’t just a hot take; it’s a SYMPTOM of a sport that has lost its mind, where legacy is erased overnight and losers are told they can be kings. If THIS is the future of college football, then NOTHING we knew was ever real.
