A COURT JUST SLAMMED THE DOOR on a former president’s desperate attempt to escape justice. The shocking photo from Yonhap News says it all: the system is finally closing in.
On Friday, the Seoul Central District Court DISMISSED former President Yoon Suk Yeol’s constitutional challenge to the special prosecutor law. This is the law mandating an investigation into his alleged role in a DANGEROUS INSURRECTION and the declaration of martial law in late 2024. He tried to block it. He failed.
The court examined four critical clauses—including the special prosecutor’s power, the public broadcast of the trial, and protections for whistleblowers—and THREW OUT every one of Yoon’s objections. For two other clauses, concerning access to secret presidential archives and press briefings, the court didn’t even bother to hear his arguments. His claim that the law violates “due process” was treated like the legal HALLOW MARY it is.
This isn’t just a legal ruling. It’s a MASSIVE ESCALATION. The special prosecutor now has a green light to dig into everything: the archives, the witnesses, the truth behind the alleged coup. Who benefits from silence? Who is terrified of what those broadcasts will show the public?
The man who once commanded the military, accused of tearing the constitution apart, is now watching the courts strip away his last defenses. One question burns as the investigation moves forward unshackled: what are they so afraid we will see?
