
HBO’s smash-hit series It: Welcome to Derry is wrapping up with its finale episode tonight (December 14), and Just Jared got to chat with one of the show’s breakout stars: Arian S. Cartaya!
The young actor portrays the role of Rich, one of the kids in the friend group as Pennywise the Clown targets the youth of the town.
Arian got the attention of the passionate Welcome to Derry fanbase with his really sincere acting choices, his character’s devotion to Marge, and his extremely memorable episode 7 ending.
Now that he’s gained a lot of new fans, we got to know him a bit better!

- I workout every day and my favorite exercise is back squat. My PR in back squat is 145 lbs.
- My first language is Spanish and we continue to only speak Spanish at home.
- I have 2 cats and one of them is named after one of my favorite baseball players Mookie Betts.
- I learned to play the drums for my role as Rich Santos in Welcome to Derry.
- If I wasn’t an actor I would probably pursue a career as a baseball player. I play short stop and my favorite team is The Boston Red Sox!

- I recently watched the 3 Godfather movies and I got inspired by Al Pacino‘s performance. I would love to play a role in this movie genre in the future.
- Earlier this year, I learned how to dance salsa and my favorite song to dance to is “Baile Inolvidable” by Bad Bunny.
- I recently got over my fear of rollercoasters.
