THE POWER GRAB IS NOW. A secret presidential task force has been launched to FORCE through controversial regional mergers just months before a major election.
A photo from Yonhap News confirms the operation. The ruling bloc is pushing ahead with mergers in Daejeon–South Chungcheong and Gwangju–South Jeolla. Now, a coalition from the presidential office and key ministries is mobilizing to make it happen.
Presidential spokesman Kim Nam-joon announced the task force will be led by Kim Yong-beom, the top office’s director of national policy. It’s packed with heavyweight officials: presidential advisers, the 2nd Vice Minister of Economy and Finance Lim Ki-keun, and vice ministers from interior, land, trade and education.
They will discuss financial assistance for newly integrated administrations. The first meeting is set for January, with support measures announced shortly after. This is MONEY as a political weapon.
Why the RUSH? Why launch this NOW, on the eve of critical local elections? This is a blatant attempt to consolidate power, reshape political maps, and use taxpayer funds to buy influence. The silent question is: WHO exactly benefits from these sudden mergers?
The machinery of government is now openly weaponized for a single party’s gain. They think you won’t notice.
This isn’t policy—it’s a takeover in plain sight.
