‘Holes’ TV Series Not Moving Forward at Disney+


We have some disappointing news to share for fans of Louis Sachar‘s novel Holes.

After ordering a pilot for the television adaptation, Disney+ has chosen not to move forward with the series, reports Deadline.

The pilot starred a teen girl in the lead role instead of a boy, with actress Shay Rudolph playing Hayley and Greg Kinnear cast as the warden.

The cast also included Noah Cottrell as Kitch and Aidy Bryant as a camp counselors. Flor Delis Alicea, Anire Kim Amoda, Iesha Daniels, Sophie Dieterlen, Alexandra Doke, and Maeve Press also starred as campers.

The novel was previously adapted into the 2003 film starring Shia LaBeouf in the lead role. Sigourney Weaver and Patricia Arquette also starred.
