What’s most amusing about this anecdote is that the older woman’s shenanigans did not stop after that initial encounter with the cafeteria employee. Once the employee was finally on break and took the opportunity to eat her own breakfast sandwich (which she had made for herself three hours prior), the elderly woman clocked her sandwich and watched her eat like a hawk.
Eventually, there was a confrontation because, of course, this lady could not control herself. Furthermore, whereas a normal person would consider the possibility that this breakfast sandwich was never meant for them, this woman seemed entirely unable to imagine a scenario where something she wanted was not hers to take.
Here’s hoping that she was embarrassed enough by the end of this confrontation to know that perhaps making a scene was not a good idea in the first place. However, we doubt that a person like this could recognize that their behavior got a bit out of hand.
