
Isla Fisher is speaking out following the death of Confessions of a Shopaholic author Sophie Kinsella.
On Wednesday morning (December 10), it was announced that the British author had died at the age of 55 following a three-year battle with brain cancer.
Sophie was best known for writing the hit book Confessions of a Shopaholic, which was published in 2000. The 49-year-old Australian actress starred in the 2009 movie adaption of the book.
Hours after the news of Sophie‘s death was announced, Isla took to her Instagram Story to pay tribute.

“My daughters grew up being read your books and love them to this day,” she continued. “My heart is broken. You are still my hero, and I’m grateful for you.”
Isla concluded, “And though we won’t meet again, your light and magic lives on in your incredible characters.”
