One of the co-showrunners for It: Welcome to Derry, Jason Fuchs, spoke to those cameo rumors!
There’s a prevailing theory that one of the past It movie stars, Sophia Lillis, could be making a cameo on the season finale of the series, which is airing tonight (December 14) on HBO.
This is not confirmed by HBO at all, and has just been circulating social media.
However, Jason did speak out about a possible cameo, and he actually fueled rumors!

Jason told GQ when asked about any possible It movie actors returning for the show, he said, “I would say stay tuned. Maybe you will or won’t see something that comes into play between It’s cycles before the end of the season.”
If you don’t know, Sophia portrayed young Beverly in the movies with Jessica Chastain playing the adult version in both It films.
Fan theories have wondered if Lilly (Clara Stack) is actually Beverly’s mom.
