A rock could technically be nicer than Nate Jacobs was in Euphoria for the past two seasons. Still, Jacob Elordi promises there have been some positive changes to Nate with the time jump for the upcoming season. Gwyneth Paltrow asked Elordi on Actors on Actors if his character was “nicer” than in previous seasons, as she became a fan after her kids recommended it to her. He gave us a little hope for Nate’s character development. “I finished filming a new season just recently, and it’s a completely different thing,” he began. “I really do think [Nate is nicer.] Whether it works or not, I don’t know. There’s a chance that what I’ve done is not good.” Is there a world where a nice Nate is fun to watch? Maybe if it drives Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) insane, it can be.
Creator Sam Levinson confirmed last week that Cassie and Nate do get married, so on one side, preventing the rest of the population from marrying Cassie is a good deed, but making Cassie stuck with someone so scary in the past is a bad one. Cassie is addicted to social media now, after all, so maybe their suburban fantasy isn’t all what it seems to be. Maybe she can find her way into MomTok.
