JAPAN’S FIRST FEMALE PM UNLEASHES FURY OVER “GLASS CEILINGS” AND “GLASS CLIFFS” — BUT WHO IS REALLY LISTENING?

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi just blew the lid off Japan’s corporate and political power structure. In a fiery meeting with two dozen female ambassadors, she explicitly named the toxic practices sabotaging women nationwide: the “glass ceiling” blocking promotion and the vicious “glass cliff.” This is when women are thrown into doomed, high-risk leadership roles, only to be blamed when they fail.

The room heard MEXICO’S AMBASSADOR, Melba Pria, deliver a brutal truth bomb. “We are always assessed through tougher and frequently more biased standards,” she stated. “That is why ‘women sorority’ is essential.”

But here is the shocking reality. This historic meeting, filled with powerful diplomats, is happening while most of Japan Inc. and its old-guard politics continue business as usual. Takaichi’s own rise to power is the exception that proves the rule. The system is DESIGNED for women to struggle and fail. Who benefits from that? The entrenched, male-dominated elite who refuse to share power.

Takaichi says gender equality is “indispensable.” Yet the very women fighting for a seat at the table are still handed impossible missions and told to fix the mess themselves.

Every second this “glass cliff” exists is another second a qualified woman is set up to be pushed out. The so-called leaders preaching change are watching it happen from their secure, permanent seats.
