A Nigerian man was EXECUTED in broad daylight, shot multiple times while sitting in his car. And a TV crew was filming the whole thing.
This is the brutal killing of Emeka Clement Uzor in Johannesburg. The Nigerian Union South Africa calls it an “assassination-style” attack so violent that stray bullets slammed into nearby cars, putting innocent bystanders at risk. Now, a community is terrified, demanding to know why a television production was rolling when a man was gunned down.
Police confirm the shots were fired “allegedly by the production team’s security.” That crew was filming the show Sizokuthola, and right there with them was ActionSA’s mayoral candidate, Xolani Khumalo. While the political party claims the victim was a “drug suspect,” that’s a claim made ONLY in the court of public opinion. There has been NO arrest. There is NO proof presented to a judge.
This isn’t an isolated case. NUSA points to the chillingly similar killing of another Nigerian, Silas Ani. They see a PATTERN—a dangerous trend where allegations are used to justify what they call an “execution outside the law.” While a community screams for justice, the immediate response seems to be public character assassination of the dead man.
A murder was committed in front of cameras, and the first story told is not who pulled the trigger, but why the victim might have deserved it. The investigation is “underway,” but trust is already shattered.
