
LaKeith Stanfield will play Dennis Rodman in the Lionsgate film 48 Hours in Vegas.
Previously, Jonathan Majors was attached to the role, but he was dropped after his 2023 assault conviction. The Sorry to Bother You star will step in to replace him, per Variety.

A comedy film, the movie is “inspired by the untold story of Dennis Rodman’s legendary trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals — just as the Rodman’s Chicago Bulls are on the verge of completing their second consecutive threepeat championship in eight years.”
It follows the NBA legend on his infamous trip to Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals.
In a statement, LaKeith said, “I’m genuinely excited to help create an exhilarating, joyful work that both honors and thoughtfully examines the legacy of Rodman and fellow trailblazers. Those who moved to the beat of their own drum, undeterred by the obstacles placed before them, then and now.”
The actor was one of several stars to be featured on Variety’s annual Hollywood issue.
