LG: Battery Revolution Coming Soon


BREAKING: LG’s Secret Battery Breakthrough Spells Doom for Chinese Rivals

In a shocking move, LG Energy Solution has announced that it will be commercializing a revolutionary battery-making technology by 2028, sending shockwaves through the industry and threatening the dominance of Chinese rivals.

The technology, known as dry coating, is a game-changer that promises to reduce battery manufacturing costs by up to 30% and make electric vehicles more competitive. But what’s even more sinister is that LG has been working on this technology for 10 years, giving it a head start over its Chinese competitors.

Tesla, which has been trying to develop dry coating technology, has been plagued by limited success and has only been able to implement it on the anode part of the battery, not the cathode. But LG’s dry coating process can be applied to both cathodes and anodes, making it a more comprehensive solution.

"The dry method is a leapfrog innovation that will allow us to bypass the energy-intensive wet process and reduce our costs," said Kim Je-Young, LG Energy Solution’s chief technology officer. "We’re confident that our technology will give us a significant competitive advantage in the market."

But what does this mean for Chinese battery makers? Contemporary Amperex Technology and BYD, two of the biggest players in the industry, are already reeling from the impact of LG’s technology. "The Chinese are in a difficult position," said Park Chul-Wan, an automotive professor at Seojeong University. "They’re used to being the dominant players in the industry, but now they’re facing a real challenge from LG."

The implications are far-reaching, with some experts predicting that LG’s technology could lead to a consolidation of the industry, with smaller players struggling to compete. "The EV industry is now in a difficult phase of crossing the chasm and many people are considering different ways of production," said Jang Dong-Won, the CEO of Narae Nanotech. "There’s demand for a totally different way of production to beat Chinese rivals."

But LG’s technology isn’t the only game-changer in the works. Other companies, including Panasonic Holdings, CATL, EVE Energy and Svolt Energy Technology, are also working on dry electrode technology to apply to high-energy-density 4680 cells.

The stakes are high, with the future of the electric vehicle industry hanging in the balance. Will LG’s technology be the key to unlocking the industry’s full potential, or will Chinese rivals find a way to catch up? Only time will tell.
