Chellace is no more. Love Island USA season-seven couple Chelley Bissainthe and Ace Greene have “decided to part ways,” Bissainthe announced on Page Six Radio on December 12. “It really was a tough decision for the both of us and very hard to decide,” Bissainthe said. “But you know, when you love someone, sometimes loving someone means letting go. So I think we just got to a decision that was best.” Although she noted that she and Greene shared a “mutual level of respect and understanding that we wanted this to work,” she also suggested that sometimes it’s better to “leave off with light and love” before a relationship “turns into something it never needs to be.” Out of respect for herself and her ex, she added that she doesn’t think it’s necessary to share more details about the breakup. And so far, the pair seem to be remaining cordial on social media. When Greene posted on Instagram about hosting a Christmas toy and grocery giveaway on December 8, Bissainthe commented, “Such a blessing to the world ❤️.”

Greene, 23, previously asked Bissainthe, 28, to be his girlfriend during a post-villa baecation in St. Lucia in September. “I got me a girlfriend,” he said after the successful candlelit proposal with a smiling Bissainthe confirming, “I’m a girlfriend.” At the time, all the effort that went into upgrading his relationship status with Bissainthe had fans wondering what kind of stops Greene would pull out for an actual engagement. But now, unless they pull a Bennifer and get back together, it seems like this love story is over. “We are put on this earth to experience people,” Bissainthe said. “Sometimes we want it to last a lifetime, and sometimes … it’s for that moment in time. I’m very grateful nonetheless, and at the end of the day, I wish Ace the best. And for myself, I just have to focus on healing and growth, what’s next.” That leaves runners-up Nicolandria as the last couple standing, though Iris and TJ did get back together after she left the villa with co-fourth-place winner Pepe. Unless Chelley’s overseas playing ball, maybe she’ll find herself on Beyond the Villa.
