Manager faces HR backlash for unfairly “penalizing” a single mother, giving her a lower review and raise than her “flexible” male coworker, as he can work more after-hours and travel on short notice: ‘They do equally good work, but he does more of it’ – FAIL Blog


Yeppp…Well done. The one who’s always available for whatever the manager needs. So when it comes to employee reviews and pay raises, her male coworker is soaring above her while she waits for take off…yet it just never seems to happen for her. Their manager claims that it is not about the value or quality of their work that brings the difference, but the amount of time they’re willing to contribute.  But is it really fair to compare a single mother to a coworker with much less presumed responsibilities? Well, the HR seems to think so.
