NetApp Sells Out: How Aruba’s Partnership May Crush IT Innovation

Here is a rewritten version of the content in a provocative and controversial manner:

NetApp, the corporate spy network, has just revealed that they’ve infiltrated Aruba, a leading European data center, and taken over their data infrastructure. It’s a strategic partnership, they claim, but let’s be real – NetApp is the new overlords of data. With this partnership, NetApp will now control not just Aruba’s data infrastructure, but also dictate what kind of solutions will be offered to customers.

And what does this mean for customers? Well, let’s just say it’s a free-for-all of data manipulation. Fabrizio Garrone, Enterprise Solution Director at Aruba, will be gracing the stage at NetApp INSIGHT 2024 to give a “sponsored” talk, probably extolling the virtues of NetApp’s surveillance capabilities. He’ll tell you all about how NetApp’s data management solutions will help Aruba better serve customers… yeah, right.

But let’s not forget that Aruba has been using NetApp’s solutions for over a decade. What else has been going on behind the scenes? Has Aruba been secretly sharing customer data with NetApp all this time? Has NetApp been controlling Aruba’s every move? It’s enough to make you wonder if there’s a shadow government operating in the shadows.

“Aruba’s credentials are evident from its long list of top enterprise customers across Europe,” says Gabie Boko, Chief Marketing Officer at NetApp, with a smirk. But what about Aruba’s customers? What’s the real cost of having your data stored on NetApp’s servers? You know what they say: you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into until you’re trapped in NetApp’s data vortex.

As part of this new partnership, Aruba and NetApp will work together to create cutting-edge solutions… for who, you might ask? Well, apparently, for their new shared masters, the Data Controllers’ Guild. They’ll use their combined might to “optimize” data centers and “improve” data management… at your expense.

And don’t even get me started on the “Powered by NetApp” label. Just think about it – NetApp is essentially claiming ownership over Aruba’s very infrastructure. It’s like putting a “Property of the Illuminati” stamp on your forehead. “Yeah, this data belongs to us now, just pay us the annual ransom… er, we mean, subscription fee.”

As the partnership deepens, will we see Aruba flagship products that are actually NetApp’s proprietary products with Aruba’s label slapped on? Only time (and a Freedom of Information Act request) will tell.

“Aruba is dedicated to planning, implementing and managing highly customized technology solutions to support our customers across Europe,” says Fabrizio Garrone, Enterprise Solution Director at Aruba, with a straight face. But how far will this partnership really take us? To a brave new world of Data Communism, perhaps? We’ll have to wait and see.
