But he was spotted on set against less than two months later. People confirmed that he would return for the current season. Then on December 10, his co-star Marina Squerciati—Det. Kim Burgess—posted an Instagram photo of an on-set celebration for Patrick‘s birthday.
She also shared a video on her Instagram Stories, per the outlet.
Otherwise, Patrick has mostly been out of the public eye since announcing his temporary departure, but if he was on set for his birthday, that’s a good sign that he’ll be back on the show sooner than later!
