
The Kansas City Chiefs are facing an upsetting setback.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a left knee injury with less than two minutes left in their game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday (December 14).
He had to be helped off the field and taken into the locker room by medical staff with a towel covering his head, as seen in footage shared from the game.

Patrick got hurt after being chased by defensive end Da’Shawn Hand, and was replaced by Gardner Minshew.
The team ultimately lost 16-13 to the Chargers, meaning their hope to advance to the playoffs is officially over.
The Chiefs went on to the playoffs over the past 10 seasons, but that run ends this year.
