NFL insider Ian Rapoport confirmed the news, saying he’s signing with their practice squad. This means he’s not currently on the NFL roster. However…he could be pulled up at any moment. Ian shared that he’s being added to the Indiana quarterback room to help support backup QB Riley Leonnard, and, could serve “as a potential option down the road” to start.

By the way, NFL players rarely play into their 40s, though some quarterbacks are able to. Tom Brady, for example, retired at age 45 after 23 seasons in the league.
Philip also has a very large family with his wife Tiffany. They have 10 children and one grandchild!
