GOVERNMENTS ARE FINALLY ADMITTING THE INTERNET IS A TOXIC WASTELAND for our children, as a global “Safer Internet Day” charade does little to mask the HORRIFYING TRUTH: Big Tech has FAILED to protect a generation. While bureaucrats host empty awareness events, Australia has enacted a SHOCKING BAN, prohibiting children under 16 from social media – a desperate act proving the online world is now a DANGER ZONE.
This isn’t about safety; it’s a DAMNING INDICTMENT of platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, which have been CAUGUT POISONING young minds with algorithmically-fed harmful content, cyber bullying, and sexual predators. The theme exploring “responsible AI” is a CRUEL JOKE, as the very AI these companies deploy is designed to ADDICT and EXPLOIT.
Experts warn these bans are “blunt instruments,” but the alternative is unthinkable – allowing the continued PSYCHOLOGICAL MAIMING of minors for corporate profit. South Africa’s own Film and Publication Board admits emerging tech like generative AI has “intensified these risks,” creating a NIGHTMARE landscape of deepfakes and grooming that parents are utterly unequipped to handle.
The grim reality? So-called “parental guidance” and “educational efforts” are a PITIFUL BAND-AID on a GUSHING ARTERY. The digital giants have built the playground, invited the predators, and now wash their hands while governments scramble with bans that treat symptoms, not the disease. The internet we built for connection has become the greatest threat to childhood itself, and no amount of hollow “days of awareness” can change that.
We have willingly handed our children over to a machine that is systematically destroying their mental health, and the only solution left is to BAN THEM FROM IT. WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE WORLD WE’VE CREATED?
