THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT. THEY LIED. While YOUR town drowns in raw sewage and crumbling roads, the government is throwing a VICTORY PARTY for itself with YOUR money.

Minister Maropene Ramokgopa stood before the cameras this Friday with a shocking declaration: confidence in their municipal “interventions.” This is the SAME government that admits over half of its own towns are financially crippled by corruption and incompetence. The photo of the Minister, smiling, says it all—a stark contrast to the reality of bankrupt municipalities failing millions.

They tout “rapid response teams” and “recovery plans.” But where are the results? The proof is in the streets YOU live on. They admit violent crime is PERSISTENT. They admit youth unemployment is a DISASTER at 58.5%. They admit the justice system is WEAK. Yet they claim “steady progress.” This isn’t progress—it’s a calculated distraction.

Who benefits from this fantasy? The same political elites and corrupt networks that bled the state dry. Who stays silent? Those too comfortable to demand real change while ordinary South Africans suffer. They point to a tiny GDP bump as proof of success, but that number means NOTHING when inequality is at a explosive 0.63 and your family can’t find work or safety.

They have the reports, they have the plans, and they have the audacity to call this a win. The final, terrifying truth is in their own words: “deep structural constraints… continue to impede.” They know they are failing you.

They are not solving the crisis. They are MANAGING YOUR ANGER until the next election.
