Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders is addressing the viral rumor that he was wearing pair of thong underwear while playing in this past weekend’s NFL game.
The 23-year-old athlete was playing in the December 7 game against the Tennessee Titans when a screen grab of him on the ground got a lot of attention. You can see from an image that something is on his lower back. The shape is similar in shape to that of a thong, however, he had not confirmed this to be true.
The image made the rounds on social media quickly after Sunday’s game.
Now, he’s revealing what was really on his back.

“Let’s cut to the business, bro. Did you wear a thong or not?” his brother Shilo Sanders asked in a YouTube sit down.
He responded, “You forgot I have a back injury, right? So I get my back taped. But that is crazy that it did look like that. That’s funny, though.” Indeed, Shedeur did suffer from a back fracture in 2023 while playing college football at Colorado.
