We cannot help but applaud the author for refusing to give in and accept the curmudgeon’s ridiculous enforcement of non-existent rules. Rather than cave, he chose to test the boundaries even further, proceeding to park even closer to his vehicle but still within the legal limits. The author even went so far as to make friends with the local police, who were also sick and tired of this fool’s constant complaining. This is what happens when you waste everyone’s time, sir!
