Sigourney Weaver is in talks to join the upcoming Tomb Raider television series starring Sophie Turner as Lara Croft.
Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service is developing the new series with Phoebe Waller-Bridge serving as the writer and executive producer.

Deadline reports that Sigourney is circling an unknown role at the moment, but a deal has not yet closed. The series will begin production on January 19, 2026 and we’re still waiting to learn more about the show. British actor Martin Bobb-Semple was recently revealed to be playing a “major” series regular role.
Angelina Jolie is best known for playing Lara Croft in two Tomb Raider movies in the early 2000s. Alicia Vikander later played the role in a 2018 reboot movie. Both actresses are Oscar winners!
