GOVERNMENT THUMBS ITS NOSE AT DYING THIRSTY CITIZENS IN SHOCKING “WATER” PERFORMANCE
It was a slap in the face to millions. As South Africans faced a CRUSHING national water crisis, the state’s own military band chose a celebration song called “Water” for the President’s big speech.
This wasn’t a mistake. This was a MESSAGE.
A viral clip shows the SANDF brass band blaring Tyla’s Grammy-winning hit “Water” during the State of the Nation address. The grotesque irony was not lost on a nation where taps run dry daily. Broadcast journalist Mandy Weiner nailed it on X: “The irony of the military band playing Tyla’s Water when no one has any…”
This tone-deaf spectacle follows Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi’s PRIVILEGED rant about the crisis. He casually told citizens he simply “had to go to a certain hotel” to bathe. He later apologized, but the damage was done. The elite see your suffering as a minor inconvenience.
Even the traditional 21-gun salute nearly exploded into disaster, with a cannon jamming and shooting flames. The symbolism is too perfect to ignore.
This is a pattern of CONTEMPT. While you queue for buckets, they dance. While your children go thirsty, they make jokes about hotel baths. They are broadcasting their disconnect for all to see.
They are laughing at you from inside the palace walls.
