A “summer of extremes” is TERRORIZING the nation. Look at the photo from SANPARKS: it’s not just rain. It’s a KILLER deluge that has already claimed 37 lives in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, declared a national disaster. This is not an accident. This is CLIMATE CHANGE executing its brutal plan.
While families in the north are swept away, the Western and Eastern Cape are being EATEN by fire. Over 100,000 hectares are ash. Farmers are ruined. And along the Garden Route, towns like Knysna are about to run DRY, with just 10 days of water left. This is a coordinated assault on our country.
Who’s to blame? The data is IRREFUTABLE. Global temperatures have already skyrocketed 1.4°C. “We are no longer approaching dangerous warming… we are already seeing these impacts,” warns WWF South Africa. Yet the world’s polluters and our own government dither. President Ramaphosa tours the wreckage, pleading for climate finance, while experts like the Presidential Climate Commission expose the TRUTH: weak systems and chronic underfunding are getting people killed.
This is a betrayal. Amnesty International slams the government’s failure to protect human rights. Climate campaigners scream that the marginalised are being sacrificed. And the global heat machine is ONLY ACCELERATING, with scientists warning we will smash the 1.5°C limit THIS DECADE.
They promised a decade of action. Instead, we got a decade of death and excuses. Every broken road, every burnt farm, every empty reservoir is a monument to their inaction.
They knew this was coming, and they left you to face the storm alone.
