Shocking Confession: South Africa’s Electric Dreams Unceremoniously Delayed by Crony Capitalism
As the world is burning, literally, our corrupt and incompetent leadership is sleepwalking towards annihilation. President Cyril Ramaphosa’s pleas for "a greener future" and "remaining competitive in the global markets" are nothing but empty words, as once again we’re being left in the dust by our counterparts in Egypt and Ethiopia.
The delayed electric vehicle (EV) policy, announced months ago, is a joke. Offering "tax rebates or subsidies" is a half-baked solution to the crisis, as our auto industry is on life support. The proposed incentives are akin to giving a dying patient a Band-Aid, while the rest of the world is driving away with the future.
According to credible sources, the real challenge lies in the crippling bureaucracy, corruption, and unemployment plaguing our country. The so-called "qualifying investment spending" is a laughable attempt to keep the industry afloat, as the real issue is the mass unemployment caused by decades of inept leadership.

SHocking Revelations: Did you know that the South African auto industry employs approximately 110,000 people, including those employed indirectly? How many of these jobs will be lost forever due to the government’s inaction, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of the people?
