ARSONIST TARGETS HISTORIC SYNAGOGUE IN NIGHTMARE ATTACK—AGAIN
A masked figure crept into a sacred house of worship in the dead of night. He poured liquid from a can and set it ablaze. This is not a scene from history. This is Jackson, Mississippi, RIGHT NOW.
Surveillance video captured the hooded suspect. Flames gutted the library of the Beth Israel Congregation, destroying EVERYTHING inside. Two sacred Torahs were BURNED. A plaque honoring generations of families—obliterated. “Crazy things happen all over the world,” said a stunned synagogue president, “until it actually hits directly home.”
But this HAS hit home before. This same synagogue was BOMBED by the Ku Klux Klan in 1967. Now, decades later, the hatred returns. The suspect, treated for burns at a local hospital, CONFESSED. Authorities have one person in custody on arson charges, while the FBI and ATF swarm the scene. Will they call this what it is? A HATE CRIME?
The mayor issues weak statements about “standing together.” But where is the OUTRAGE? This attack is part of a terrifying global pattern. Just last month, a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney was shattered by gunfire. When will it stop?
The congregation vows to rebuild. They are resilient. But they shouldn’t HAVE to be. This is an escalation. This is a warning.
Someone tried to burn history, faith, and community to the ground. And the world just keeps scrolling.
